CNA Certification Requirements

Each method provides extensive training on various healthcare procedures. Typically, these training programs last approximately 12 weeks. At the end of the course, students are required to take an exam before receiving certification. You will be tested in written form as well as in practice.

The written portion of the exam will test your knowledge base. The critical skills portion will test your hands-on practice of the procedures you have learned. A passing grade of 75% is required for each half of the exam before you can be certified a CNA. If you fail, you will have to take the test again.

Although intense, a relatively short training period means that you can become certified with very little interruption to your life. You will also be able to start down your career path in a timely manner, making a difference in the lives of your patients and their families.
